Our mission at Explorers is to honor children throughout their learning journey by blending different educational philosophies that spark curiosity, creativity and joy.

Vision

Explorers aims to revolutionize early childhood education in Durango, CO, by blending the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics), Montessori, and Reggio Emilia philosophies with civic engagement and outdoor education opportunities. Our center provides a holistic approach to childcare, emphasizing hands-on learning, creativity, critical thinking, and community involvement, for families of all income levels. By fostering a stimulating environment that integrates these methodologies, we aspire to nurture well-rounded, socially conscious individuals who are equipped with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
